Description:

  • As a Database Administrator at TrackStreet, you will maintain the performance, availability, and scalability of the databases that power core products and business operations.
  • You will own database infrastructure and optimization while collaborating cross-functionally to support system reliability, data consistency, and growth.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring availability and performance of databases, performing capacity planning, enforcing best practices for database management, creating maintenance policies, and documenting disaster recovery functions.
  • You will work with the development team to coordinate new data development and with the Database Analyst to optimize database objects and stored procedures.
  • You will be part of an on-call rotation to respond to and resolve database issues.

Requirements:

  • You must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting multi-tenant database systems in a high-availability and high-volume environment.
  • Experience supporting PostgreSQL systems in cloud or data center environments is required.
  • Familiarity with YellowBrick, DataBrick, or similar big data platforms is necessary.
  • You should have experience with SnowFlake and a detailed understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and internals.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a DevOps/SRE environment is needed.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially with virtual machines in AWS or GCP, is essential.
  • You should have experience with cloud-native database systems like AWS RDS and GCP CloudSQL.
  • A strong understanding of database structures, data modeling, and database administration best practices is required.
  • Experience supporting, monitoring, and configuring Linux environments for database systems is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code systems, preferably Terraform, is required.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, or DynamoDB is needed.
  • Experience working in a secure regulated or healthcare software sector with knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, or other Cybersecurity frameworks is essential.
