Remote Database and Business Intelligence developer

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our client in the Netherlands.
• This is a 100% remote position, offering a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge data projects.
• You will design sophisticated data warehousing solutions for a large-scale organization.
• As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying solutions based on Data Vault, Kimball, or Inmon methodologies.
• You will use advanced tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Responsibilities include writing complex stored procedures and queries in SQL Server.
• You will design, implement, and deploy solutions based on Data Vault methodology.
• You will design and deploy data warehousing solutions based on Kimball and/or Inmon methodologies.
• You will implement and deploy SSIS ETL flows.
• You will configure SSAS (multidimensional and tabular) to build data cubes.
• You will work with reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders following SCRUM methodology and provide solutions aligned with the business goals.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
• You must have at least 9-10 years of relevant experience in software development and database design.
• Expertise in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
• Proven experience with Data Vault modelling is required.
• Strong knowledge of SSAS (multidimensional and tabular) is necessary.
• Experience with SSIS ETL is required.
• You should have experience in configuring reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile SCRUM methodologies is important.
• A working knowledge of English at C1 level or higher is required.
• Nice to have: Experience in Flyway deployment and understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., TFS).
• Experience in database dimensional modelling is also a plus.
