Description:
The Database Developer will be part of a team supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by disseminating data to researchers focused on improving care quality and reducing costs for chronically ill Medicare beneficiaries.
Responsibilities include supporting data warehouse architecture development across solutions such as Snowflake.
The role involves providing rotation-based production support for ETL batch loads, including off-hours and weekends.
The developer will analyze and resolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
Conducting investigations and tests of considerable complexity is also part of the job.
Maintaining data documentation on processes and procedures is required.
The developer will track multiple data feeds, business rules, and statuses to ensure accurate data and information for management.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required.
At least 2 years of experience working as a Database Developer is necessary.
Experience in developing ETL packages is essential.
An in-depth understanding of data management, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring, is required.
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications is necessary.
Hands-on experience with SQL is required.
Familiarity with .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML, and Oracle is preferred.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills are essential.
The ability to understand front-end users’ requirements and a problem-solving attitude is necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Previous experience supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would be a significant advantage.
