Description:
Design and architect database solutions to meet business requirements, including data models, schemas, and indexing strategies.
Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions using SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Optimize database performance for speed, concurrency, and scalability, tuning SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database configuration settings.
Manage data migration and integration processes to transfer data between systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
Implement database security controls and access policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor database performance and health, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
Document database architecture, processes, and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong background in database development, with hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing database solutions.
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
Experience with database design and modeling techniques, including relational and dimensional data modeling.
Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques, including query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
