Description:
As a Database Engineer at Ascend Analytics, you will be part of a collaborative team advancing software solutions and analytics to support the clean-tech power revolution.
You will design and write clean, scalable, production code with a focus on OLAP and RDBMS systems.
Your responsibilities include refactoring code for improved performance, stability, and scalability.
You will implement systems for collecting, storing, and working with data at scale.
The role involves working with a team of developers, analysts, and data scientists.
You will communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will contribute to scoping and design discussions.
This position requires collaboration within your software team and with front-end software engineers, data scientists, and the technical sales team.
The software development team follows an agile scrum process, and all team members are expected to contribute to technical design reviews, implementation strategies, operational system support, and sprint planning.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B. S.) from a four-year College or University in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another technical field is required.
A strong understanding of Data Warehouse/Solution Design and Dimensional Modeling is necessary.
You must have a strong understanding of Data Warehousing and OLAP, including defining, developing, and delivering data and analysis.
Experience with Relational Databases and Multidimensional Databases is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Oracle/PostGreSQL RDBMS is essential.
You should have proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Visual Studio Data Tools.
A strong command of Complex SQL Language and MDX Language is required.
Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $130,000, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
