Description:
Moodle is seeking a Demo Experience Technical Lead to join their team and support their new strategic focus.
This role involves building a team from scratch and assisting sales teams in demonstrating cutting-edge Moodle instances.
The position is open within Europe and is ideal for a manager with a strong background in software development and team leadership.
Responsibilities include overseeing the design, development, and updates of demo sites, ensuring they function smoothly and are regularly updated.
The role requires collaboration with UX/Graphic Designers to create engaging user experiences and gathering feedback from internal teams.
The Demo Experience Technical Lead will tailor demo sites to meet customer needs, develop a roadmap for demo sites, and ensure they serve as effective sales and marketing tools.
Additional duties include supporting sales teams with in-house demonstrations, promoting a positive team culture, managing team performance, and implementing agile methodologies.
The lead will also track team progress using Jira and report to leadership.
Requirements:
Candidates should have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience.
Experience managing a team in a web development, design, or product management environment is required.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate empathy for end-user needs and possess a thorough understanding of software development and design principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a solutions-focused attitude and strong teamwork capabilities.
High organizational skills and the ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines are necessary.
Bonus points for experience in people leadership, mentoring, coaching, and familiarity with LMS or demonstration building, particularly with Moodle.
