Description:

Plotly is seeking a creative and technically skilled Developer Relations Content Creator to produce engaging short-form and medium-length videos.
The videos will demonstrate the power and ease of getting started with Plotly’s open-source and closed-source app-building products.
The role involves creating video content for YouTube, TikTok, and Bluesky that appeals to Excel, PowerBi, and broader data visualization communities.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Plotly and Dash, as well as a strong understanding of Excel and data visualization tools.
The goal is to showcase the simplicity of using Plotly’s products and help viewers quickly build interactive data apps.
This position will report to Plotly’s Community Manager.
Responsibilities include creating 1-3 videos weekly, focusing on content production, quality, collaboration, and communication.

Requirements:

Strong familiarity with Plotly, Dash, and Dash Enterprise is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of Excel, including formula usage and data manipulation, is required.
Familiarity with PowerBi and Tableau is a plus.
Proven experience in video production, editing, and on-screen presentation (short-form and medium-length) is necessary.
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible, concise explanations is essential.
Experience creating video content for social media platforms, particularly YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter, is required.
Excellent verbal and visual communication skills are a must.
The candidate should have the ability to engage viewers through a clear, approachable, and energetic presentation style.
Knowledge of best practices in social media content optimization and audience engagement is a plus.
