Description:

The DevOps Developer will develop, maintain, and execute tools and processes for application build and deployment, specifically for Drupal and .NET applications.
This role involves automating and documenting build and deployment procedures as well as CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
The developer will containerize applications and manage Kubernetes infrastructure while adhering to best practices.
Collaboration with Development, Virtual Machine, and Infrastructure teams is essential to ensure container security and patching.
The position requires creating dashboards and monitoring systems for containerized applications.
Troubleshooting full-stack web issues and leading production deployments with rollback and testing plans are key responsibilities.
The developer will work to improve processes and automation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Maintaining software source code integrity using Git/GitLab is a critical task.
Automating developer operations through scripts and templates using tools like Ansible, Chef, PowerShell, and Bash is expected.
The role includes supporting application security, critical patching, and infrastructure updates.
Effective communication of complex technical concepts to various audiences is necessary.
Participation in project documentation, specification creation, and process design is required.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
The candidate must be able to obtain government security clearances.
The position requires the candidate to be located in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST) zones.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of DevOps experience, focusing on automation, infrastructure, and monitoring, is necessary.
Experience with Ansible, Linux administration, Jenkins, Docker, and GitLab is required.
The candidate must have experience in CI/CD, containerization, and managing deployments in Kubernetes environments.
A strong understanding of both Linux and Windows infrastructure is essential.
