Description:

  • The DevOps Developer will develop, maintain, and execute tools and processes for application build and deployment, specifically for Drupal and .NET applications.
  • This role involves automating and documenting build and deployment procedures as well as CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • The developer will containerize applications and manage Kubernetes infrastructure while adhering to best practices.
  • Collaboration with Development, Virtual Machine, and Infrastructure teams is essential to ensure container security and patching.
  • The position requires creating dashboards and monitoring systems for containerized applications.
  • Troubleshooting full-stack web issues and leading production deployments with rollback and testing plans are key responsibilities.
  • The developer will work to improve processes and automation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Maintaining software source code integrity using Git/GitLab is a critical task.
  • Automating developer operations through scripts and templates using tools like Ansible, Chef, PowerShell, and Bash is expected.
  • The role includes supporting application security, critical patching, and infrastructure updates.
  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts to various audiences is necessary.
  • Participation in project documentation, specification creation, and process design is required.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain government security clearances.
  • The position requires the candidate to be located in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST) zones.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of DevOps experience, focusing on automation, infrastructure, and monitoring, is necessary.
  • Experience with Ansible, Linux administration, Jenkins, Docker, and GitLab is required.
  • The candidate must have experience in CI/CD, containerization, and managing deployments in Kubernetes environments.
  • A strong understanding of both Linux and Windows infrastructure is essential.
