Description:

  • TalenTailors is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join their customer’s team.
  • The role involves bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software products.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Kubernetes clusters with Talos Linux, managing a Proxmox virtualization environment, and developing Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible.
  • The engineer will optimize cluster architecture and automate deployments.
  • Responsibilities also encompass implementing Kubernetes deployments and service architectures, configuring and maintaining Kubernetes operators, and integrating cloud-native tools and services.
  • Monitoring and logging of cluster infrastructure is a critical task.
  • The role requires the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, implementing automated backup and recovery strategies, and creating monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Automation of recurring system administration tasks is also part of the job.
  • Security responsibilities include implementing security best practices for Kubernetes, hardening Linux systems, managing secrets and access rights, and conducting regular security audits and updates.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • In-depth Linux system administration experience, particularly with Ubuntu, is required.
  • Practical experience with Proxmox or similar virtualization solutions is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, specifically Ansible, is essential.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows is required.
  • A solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability is needed.
  • Candidates should possess shell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented work approach are essential.
  • Initiative and a continuous willingness to learn are important traits.
  • Good communication skills are required.
