Description:

Appspace is seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to join their team, focusing on learning and supporting Appspace’s Cloud Platform and toolsets.
The role involves resolving unexpected behavior, servicing requests, and executing against the automation backlog.
Candidates should have experience in automating infrastructure deployments, systems administration, high availability, and web technologies.
The position requires collaboration with a global team to improve platform resiliency and customer experience.
Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining compute and container instances, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Daily activities involve working with development teams, maintaining system health, troubleshooting issues, and documenting processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to learn and understand new technologies quickly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
A strong background in Linux is required, with some experience in Windows systems administration preferred.
Experience with automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code is necessary, with a preference for HashiCorp.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, NodeJS, and/or Bash is required.
Solid troubleshooting experience and the ability to follow log trails to identify faults are necessary.
Experience with MySQL and MongoDB is required.
Familiarity with message brokering systems, preferably RabbitMQ, is needed.
Experience implementing Microservices and familiarity with Kubernetes or another container orchestrator is essential.
Flexibility to attend remote “off-hour” meetings is required.
