Appspace is seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to join their team and enhance the work experiences of people everywhere.
The role involves learning Appspace’s Cloud Platform and supporting toolsets to meet the needs of customers and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will resolve issues, service requests, and work on automation tasks when not engaged in immediate responsibilities.
Responsibilities include understanding DevOps best practices, automating infrastructure deployments, and improving platform resiliency and velocity.

The DevOps Engineer will install, configure, and maintain compute and container instances, monitor system performance, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Daily activities include collaborating with development and QA teams, maintaining system health, troubleshooting issues, and documenting processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to learn and understand new technologies quickly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
A strong background in Linux is required, with some experience in Windows systems administration preferred.
Experience with automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code is necessary, preferably with HashiCorp.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, NodeJS, and/or Bash is required.
Solid troubleshooting experience and the ability to follow log trails to identify faults are necessary.
Experience with MySQL and MongoDB is required.
Familiarity with message brokering systems, preferably RabbitMQ, is needed.
Experience implementing Microservices and familiarity with Kubernetes or another container orchestrator is required.
Flexibility to attend remote “off-hour” meetings is necessary.
