Description:

  • Maximus is seeking a DevOps Engineer to promote a reliability-focused culture within the engineering team, ensuring scalability, performance, and security of their telemedicine platform.
  • Responsibilities include participating in architecture discussions, managing CI/CD pipelines, enhancing developer experience, designing and maintaining secure infrastructure on cloud platforms, collaborating with software engineers, implementing monitoring systems, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience in DevOps or similar roles, proficiency in AWS and GCP, expertise in containerization and orchestration tools, strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, familiarity with monitoring tools, infrastructure-as-code principles, Ruby on Rails applications, network security, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus points for experience in HIPAA-compliant environments, familiarity with specific technologies, and relevant certifications.
  • Desired qualities include high conscientiousness, horsepower & humility, creative thinking, being relentlessly resourceful, and a passion for men's health and development.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, especially AWS and GCP.
  • Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog and Sentry.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools, such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails applications in production environments.
  • Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
