Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer at EnableComp is responsible for architecting, maintaining, and securing application deployment, configuration management, and system/application monitoring in a complex environment.
• They will work alongside the Systems team to design, implement, operate, and maintain local and cloud-based services.
• Responsibilities include designing a deployment standard for the development team, managing automated build and deployment processes with GitHub Actions, developing custom application and system monitoring, troubleshooting server and application issues, and designing automated testing with the QA Development team.
• The DevOps Engineer will manage GitOps processes with Terraform, automate tasks, monitor their effectiveness, create and test deployment security measures, maintain technical documentation, suggest improvements to applications and systems, and support the development staff's needs.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 8+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
• Proficiency with CICD tools like GitHub Actions and experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL, containers in a Kubernetes environment, communication protocols (TCP/IP), and general programming languages (.NET, JavaScript, Python).
• Experience with enterprise-level monitoring tools like Azure Container Insights and Azure Log Analytics.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, strong computer proficiency, and regular attendance are essential.
