The DevOps Engineer will report directly to the Head of Engineering and will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and management of Kubernetes clusters within AWS.
Responsibilities include managing and building CI/CD tools/pipelines, ensuring high availability and performance of Kubernetes environments, and managing costs effectively.
The role also involves monitoring PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimum application performance by addressing alerts for long-running queries, high CPU usage, and low disk space.
This is a fully remote position, and the role is expected to evolve over time with various responsibilities.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience working with major cloud providers, preferably AWS, is required.
Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), is essential.
Strong experience in networking concepts such as VPC, Subnet, CIDR ranges, Security Groups, and NAT is necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and eksctl is required.
Familiarity with DNS providers and relational database management, particularly Postgres, is important.
Understanding of monitoring and logging systems, such as Cloudwatch, is needed.
Familiarity with version control tools like GitHub is expected.
Good communication skills and a strong goal-oriented mindset with a continuous drive to learn and grow are essential.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000.
