Description:

  • Sonalake, a software partnering company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance their capabilities in building cloud-native software.
  • The engineer will be responsible for building AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform, providing guidelines for CI/CD pipelines and observability stack, and working closely with software development teams.
  • The role involves sharing knowledge about DevOps best practices across Sonalake, suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements, and conducting tool evaluation.
  • The position offers exposure to various domains such as telecom billing, ad tech, securities-based lending, and travel tech analytics.
  • Innovation is central to the company's mission, focusing on anticipating future client needs, analyzing emerging technologies, and developing new products and services.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrable operational experience with AWS (additional GCP, Azure experience is welcomed).
  • Experience in managing multi-region, multi-cloud large-scale infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as code).
  • Experience in setting up observability stack using tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
  • Hands-on experience with tools for cloud-native applications and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS, Docker).
  • Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and internals like filesystems, security, networking, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines tools such as Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Experience in technical mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
