Description:
Civitas Learning is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to help configure, automate, and maintain infrastructure serving millions of users in a multi-tenant/multi-region environment.
The role involves managing over 1,300 AWS resources across federated ETL-centric environments and working with AWS products such as VPC, EC2, Route53, EKS, Elastic Map Reduce, and Redshift.
The DevOps Engineer will work in the Cloud Engineering Team to enable and maintain services for customers.
Responsibilities include setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting VPN connections and SFTP Flat File uploads, implementing and managing SSO across multiple products, and setting up data extracts/ingests using internal ETL tools.
Security is a top priority, and the candidate will optimize and elaborate on existing infrastructure components.
The team works with various technologies including Ubuntu, OS X, Amazon Linux, AWS VPCs and VPN, Directory Services/Auth, Public Key Infrastructure, RDBMS, and programming languages like Python and Bash.
Nice to have skills include metrics tools like Prometheus/Grafana, orchestration with Terraform, knowledge of containerization, DNS concepts, continuous integration tools, and application transport protocols.
The position is remote and located in Latin America, with a salary range of $55,000—$70,000 USD.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in a DevOps role.
Familiarity with AWS technologies and services, including EC2, PaaS offerings, and VPC, is required.
Experience with setting up and maintaining VPN connections and SFTP Flat File uploads is necessary.
Knowledge of implementing and managing SSO across multiple products is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Bash is required.
Candidates should have experience with RDBMS systems like AWS RDS, Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
Understanding of security protocols and practices is crucial.
Nice to have skills include experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Terraform, Docker, and continuous integration tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
