Remote Devops Engineer

Description:

• This is a remote (work from home) position for candidates based in the United States, with an office in Apex, NC for in-person collaboration.
• The role involves collaborating with software development, security, quality assurance, and the broader company to maintain, improve, and automate the learning-platform's toolchain.
• Responsibilities include establishing, maintaining, and improving engineering guardrails to enhance the ability to self-service new and existing software deployments.
• The engineer will maintain and enhance multiple K8S (EKS) clusters supporting over 750 deployments across various environments.
• The position requires maintaining systems in accordance with service level objectives (SLOs) and regulatory frameworks.
• The engineer will triage and troubleshoot platform issues in collaboration with the broader team.
• The role includes providing code reviews, guidance, and mentorship to enhance code quality and consistency throughout the system.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have deep experience in AWS and K8S (or equivalent).
• A desire to implement an excellent developer experience through efficient tooling, intuitive observability, timely and actionable alerting, and other software engineering best practices is essential.
• The ability to improve team culture through dialogue, mentorship, code reviews, and engaging in conversations is required.
• Engagement with product management and customer support to understand client problems and create meaningful product features is necessary.
• A high level of execution in a remote-first, startup environment where curiosity, ownership, and collaboration are valued is expected.
• Interest or experience in cybersecurity is preferred.
