The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for automating infrastructure configurations using best practices for provisioning, monitoring, and managing client production environments on AWS.
The role requires a passion for DevOps products and processes, along with a strong technical and automation background.
Responsibilities include engineering and automating infrastructure and configuration management tasks, interfacing with other departments during project implementations, resolving critical infrastructure issues, ensuring uptime of cloud infrastructure, and participating in an on-call rotation.
The position involves working in an agile environment where features and projects are completed in defined sprints.
Requirements:
A university degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure management and 3 years in DevOps automation is required.
Expertise in Linux administration and comfort with command line tools for managing, provisioning, deploying, and diagnosing Linux systems is essential.
Practical hands-on experience with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda is necessary.
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) is required.
Candidates must have experience monitoring complex infrastructures and troubleshooting application performance using tools like CloudWatch and DataDog.
Familiarity with development build environments and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven is needed.
Practical experience with programming languages and tools such as Bash, Python, Terraform, and Ansible is required.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and additional AWS services is a bonus.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
A strong desire to learn new technologies is highly desired.
Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time position is between $80,000 and $140,000.
