Description:
The position is for a DevOps Engineer working remotely in Brazil.
The candidate should be customer-focused and data-driven, with a passion for delivering the best customer experience possible.
A strong understanding of cloud technologies, automation, everything-as-code, networking, microservice architectures, and object-oriented design is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Groovy, or Go is essential, along with a desire to learn additional languages.
Proven knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development lifecycle is necessary, including coding standards, code reviews, security, source control management, build processes, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, chaos engineering, and automated self-healing operations.
Familiarity with tools and technologies like AWS, Azure, CloudFormation, Terraform, New Relic, Lambda, Serverless, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, and Jira is expected.
The Developer Platform team at WatchGuard owns the CI/CD pipeline in multi-cloud environments and developer tools.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure foundational systems to empower developers to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
The role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing and optimizing multi-cloud CI/CD workflows, and ensuring fast, reliable, and secure builds, tests, and deployments.
The candidate will automate and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools and build internal tools to enhance developer efficiency and security.
A typical day may involve creating/enhancing CI/CD, developer tools, and infrastructure, championing security and operational best practices, and sharing knowledge through documentation and presentations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong understanding of cloud technologies and automation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Groovy, or Go is required.
