Description:
Oddball is hiring a DevOps Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program that positively impacts millions of Americans' daily lives.
The role involves collaborating with other DevOps engineers to establish best practices in the federal space.
Responsibilities include creating and documenting CI/CD jobs, developing infrastructure using Terraform, writing Ansible playbooks, and building tools.
Requirements:
Candidates must have in-depth experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack.
The ability to create and support AWS environments is required.
Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Pulumi is necessary.
Candidates should possess skills in developing and improving CI/CD scripts and services for development and deployment.
A desire and ability to mentor and train other engineers is essential.
Experience supporting web technologies and websites running on Kubernetes is required.
Candidates should have experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Containerd, Podman, or Kaniko.
Experience with web technologies and websites running on Apache or NGINX is necessary.
Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, is required.
Experience in SQL architecture, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL, is necessary.
Familiarity with Datadog, Trivvy, and Venafi is strongly preferred.
Nice to have: Experience in scripting with Python, managing or configuring data science tools (AWS SageMaker, Posit Workbench, Quicksight, AWS Glue), and setting up and managing Data Warehouses or Data Lakes (AWS Redshift, AWS Athena).
Experience with cloud and infrastructure monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or Cloudwatch is also a plus.
Candidates must be US Citizens and able to work domestically.
The ability to attain a low-level security clearance is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree is necessary.
