Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will maintain AWS environments and be responsible for process automation.
You will design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that are elastic, auto-scaling, compliant, secured, and highly available.
This role involves adopting and promoting best practices, bleeding edge technologies, and trends in a cross-functional team.
You will collaborate with a team skilled in full stack software engineering, infrastructure, and quality assurance to support product development and operations.
Your tasks will include architecting and implementing compliant, efficient, secure, and auditable CI/CD and application infrastructures.
You will promote Infrastructure-as-Code and select tools, standards, and best practices for automation.
You should have a strong background in CI/CD design and tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Bitbucket pipeline, and GitHub.
Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana is required.
Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and system performance tuning is essential.
Familiarity with Microservice and Serverless architectures is expected.
You should have good knowledge of databases and clustering, including SQL and NoSQL.
An instinctive desire to automate, script, and codify infrastructure and processes is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby is required.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitHub/Bitbucket is important.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker is needed.
Experience in AWS Cloud environment, including CloudFormation, VPC, EC2, and various AWS services, is essential.
You should have a proven track record in maintaining mission-critical high-load production systems with a 99.999% SLA.
Optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability is part of the role.
You will build and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
Understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security models is required.
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field is required.
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect are preferred.
You should have 4+ years of working experience in a technical hands-on DevOps role.
Demonstrable experience in supporting mission-critical systems is necessary.
Experience in a high-growth environment and other cloud platforms (Azure, Google) is a bonus.
Experience in payments and working with PCI compliant environments (PCI-DSS, etc.) is also a plus.
You should possess attributes such as a love for challenging the status quo, the ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively, and a logical and mature approach to engineering principles.
A calm demeanor under pressure and a willingness to share knowledge are important traits.
