Description:

  • Altruistiq is building a sustainability operating system to support the worldโ€™s largest consumer companies on their impact journey.
  • The company is growing fast and works with some of the best-known brands globally.
  • Altruistiq has a fully remote team based in over a dozen countries.
  • The company is looking for a DevOps engineer to help extend and scale up their platform.
  • The ideal candidate is a DevOps / Platform Engineer with experience in designing architecture and deploying scalable infrastructure on AWS.
  • Preferably, the candidate is AWS certified and has a background as a software engineer.
  • The position is full-time and remote, with a preference for candidates based in the EU timezone.
  • The DevOps engineer will join the infra platform squad and work closely with other engineers and lead developers on impactful projects.
  • Responsibilities include architectural decisions, deployment, and scaling of systems, contributing to end-to-end design, implementation, and support.
  • The company follows a "you build it, you own it" practice, providing significant ownership over work execution.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a good grasp of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like ECS/docker-compose.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • A good understanding of network protocols and security within AWS (VPC and IAM) is necessary.
  • The candidate must have excellent knowledge of Terraform within AWS.
  • A good understanding of event-driven systems (SQS, SNS) is required.
  • The candidate should have an excellent understanding of system design.
  • Knowledge of Python and Typescript/Javascript is essential.
  • Experience in B2B-based companies is preferred.
  • The candidate must be self-driven and passionate about their work and sustainability.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work in UK/EU timezones on a full-time basis.
