Description:
Our client is one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners for data services, seeking a Mid to Senior level Java Developer.
The role involves contributing to large-scale, innovative projects within a team of technologists.
This position is only available for W2 or individual contracts; C2C is not accepted.
The job is 100% remote.
Responsibilities include assisting customers with developing Kibana dashboards, ensuring DevOps practices are followed, building reference architectures for out-of-region disaster recovery, and developing tools for central automation.
The role requires continual innovation and improvement of testing processes, effective communication of DevOps activities, and holistic thinking about engineering challenges and architecture.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, expert experience in infrastructure creation/configuration, and CI/CD.
The position also involves evangelizing DevOps tools and processes and requires demonstrable experience in architecting, designing, and developing solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas and tools.
A strong background in Linux/Unix administration and experience with automation/configuration management is required.
Experience with Grafana for creating dashboards from multiple data sources is necessary.
Proficiency in Splunk is required.
Strong scripting experience in Python and TypeScript is essential.
Hands-on experience with the AWS platform is required, and AWS Certification is a significant plus.
Candidates should be familiar with various open-source technologies and cloud services, particularly AWS services like AWS Config, CloudTrail, SCPs, KMS, VPC, and CDK.
Working knowledge of continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins and various deployment tools is necessary.
Familiarity with source code repositories such as Git (BitBucket) and Subversion is required.
