Description:
Join EVOTEK, North America's premier digital business enabler, as a DevOps Engineer.
Design and develop solutions to complex application and integration challenges while overseeing operations.
Leverage the latest technology in cloud tenancies, specifically in Azure and AWS.
Actively participate in customer ceremonies and activities such as Scrum and Kanban.
Collaborate with customer Ops, Development, and QA team members to creatively solve problems in the DevOps space.
Maintain a positive attitude and a sense of urgency in a high growth and fast-paced environment.
Listen to customers and teams to understand their pain points and coach them for smarter work practices.
Document and build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Work with Docker and Kubernetes to create and schedule containers for deployments.
Document decisions regarding technology choices, best practices, and process flow.
Automate builds and deployments across multi-platform environments.
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
A can-do attitude and a sense of urgency are required for a high growth and fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of leading the implementation of release engineering best practices, both processes and technologies.
A BS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
A curious mind with a desire to learn new technologies is necessary.
The ability to think outside the box to resolve issues and create solutions is important.
Strong background in managing version control systems such as SVN and Git is required.
Experience managing continuous integration systems like Jenkins or Hudson is necessary.
Experience with automated configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack is required.
Experience developing infrastructure as code, for example, using Terraform, is necessary.
Strong experience with Cloud-Native applications is required.
Background working in a multi-platform environment, including Linux and Windows, is essential.
Experience with builds and packaging in a Linux/Java environment, such as Maven or rpm, is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working with a structured change management process is required.
A broad range of programming/scripting experience, including Python, Ruby, or GO, is necessary.
Experience with technologies to create and manage virtual development environments, such as Vagrant, is a bonus.
Experience with containerization and scheduling using Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and geographic location.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $180,000.
