Remote DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for system engineering tasks related to Azure infrastructure, build and release automation, application security best practices, and application monitoring.
• They will make strategic infrastructure choices, establish standard operating procedures, and manage Mercury’s cloud infrastructure and clients' production applications.
• Tasks include Microsoft Azure infrastructure solution engineering, managing infrastructure for large-scale web applications using Bicep templates, application metrics monitoring, container management, and participation in software development team operations.
• The role involves deploying, maintaining, and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure (PaaS and IaaS), working with a team following GitFlow with continuous deployment pipelines, administering databases, setting up automated test infrastructure, and writing PowerShell scripts.
• Proficiency in Agile teams, specifically Scrum with 2-week sprints, is preferred.

Requirements:

• Strong background in systems, cloud infrastructure, and experience with infrastructure scripting and management.
• Proficiency in technologies related to the trade, design patterns, architectural best practices, and development frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, time management, and technical skills are expected.
