Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Planet Technologies is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of DevOps Engineer in Washington, DC.
• The role involves supporting impactful projects that contribute to national interests.
• Candidates should have expert-level knowledge and experience in designing, migrating, and implementing complex solutions, particularly in hybrid public and private cloud environments, primarily Azure.
• The position is customer-facing and includes delivering business transformation technology projects and providing consulting services for next-generation infrastructure solutions related to cloud.
• Responsibilities include managing operations and maintenance of systems in Azure/AWS, migrating systems from on-premises to Azure, developing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD processes, leading multi-cloud DevOps capabilities, testing pilot services, serving as a Subject Matter Expert, developing automation scripts, interfacing with clients, and producing technical documentation tailored to customer needs.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of comparable experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer.
• A current Microsoft Certification or proof of working towards obtaining one is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on producing well-written technical documentation.
• Candidates should be able to work effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes is required.
• Good hands-on experience in cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure CLI, and Chef is necessary.
• Experience in Windows Administration and scripting is required.
• Candidates should be able to design scalable cloud infrastructure using Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub is essential.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• A Public Trust clearance is required.
