Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Sphinx is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Space Communications team in building a cutting-edge communications platform for US government satellites.
• The role involves enhancing build and deployment automation using open source technologies and cloud infrastructure.
• The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with a distributed team to develop and maintain automated build and deployment infrastructure for US Government satellites.

Requirements:

• Experience in writing and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure with Terraform.
• Proficiency in developing and operating automated build and deployment infrastructure using GitLab CICD, Jenkins, and Atlantis.
• History of maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production and packaging software into Helm charts.
• Ability to take ownership of technical problems, engage in self-directed learning, and prioritize critical issues.
• Strong teamwork skills, technical leadership experience, and effective communication abilities.
• Production experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Several years of maintaining CICD pipelines and some background in software engineering with Python or Go.
• Understanding of effective communication in a remote work environment.
