FLASH is seeking Software Engineers to enhance consumer travel experiences by developing scalable APIs and services.
The role involves working on complex pricing models, transaction processing, and collaborating with teams to digitize access to various parking facilities and venues.
Responsibilities include improving Linux-based infrastructure and hosted software, requiring a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and high-availability systems.
Candidates should have knowledge of containers, particularly Docker, and be able to troubleshoot issues in technologies such as Ruby on Rails and Golang.
The position requires a deep understanding of the software stack for effective monitoring and responding to emergencies.
Performance testing and optimization of application performance, including code modification and working with systems like PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ, are essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a deep understanding of Linux-based systems and networking.
A strong Computer Science background, preferably with a degree, is required.
Proficiency in Shell, Ruby, or Python scripting is necessary.
Experience with SQL and query optimization is essential.
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages is required, with Ruby on Rails preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Chef and Terraform or equivalent is needed.
Understanding of logging and monitoring of distributed systems is important.
Candidates should be highly collaborative during planning and grooming stages, contributing to product definition.
The ability to ship clean, tested code that is easily understandable by other developers is required.
A strong sense of ownership is necessary to proactively identify performance issues, squash bugs, and maintain an efficient development process.

The salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $120,000 per year.
