Description:

  • Auros is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to support high-performance infrastructure for trading digital assets.
  • The role involves building, deploying, and supporting systems that execute millions of trades on CeFi and DeFi venues globally.
  • Responsibilities include participating in a daytime-hours on-call roster to support trading operations.
  • The engineer will maintain and improve global infrastructure with high performance and reliability requirements.
  • The position requires improving and updating the security infrastructure in a high-risk environment.
  • Collaboration with other teams for system design discussions and improving DevOps processes is essential.
  • Development of internal tools and automation to achieve infrastructure team goals is expected.
  • The role includes application tuning and troubleshooting, providing guidance to developers on improving application performance or reliability.
  • Close collaboration with developers, traders, and other staff to accomplish the firm’s goals is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the cryptocurrency industry and familiarity with running blockchain RPC infrastructure is beneficial, along with a strong interest in cryptocurrency and finance.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of experience managing Linux systems in a high-performance environment as an SRE/DevOps professional.
  • Proficiency in cloud management using Terraform, with experience in AWS and ideally Azure, is required.
  • Strong Linux administration and configuration management skills using Ansible are necessary.
  • A solid background in container management, deployment, and orchestration is expected, with strong basic Docker skills and Kubernetes experience being advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation tooling, particularly Prometheus/Grafana, is required.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and host-level networking is expected, with knowledge of networking management and routing in cloud and global SD-WAN environments being a plus.
  • Experience in low-level performance tuning across physical hardware, cloud instances, and network latency is ideal.
  • Coding experience in Python and Bash is a must, with Javascript/Typescript or Go experience being a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and IAM policies is required, along with SIEM and threat management experience.
  • Understanding of network security and application of zero-trust principles is necessary.
  • Candidates must know how to secure Mac and Linux endpoints and have knowledge of software supply chain security, vulnerability, and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
