Description:
You will be working within a close-knit and highly skilled operations team delivering a proactive DevOps service to customers.
Your role involves working to agreed deadlines while operating multiple customer environments in Azure and AWS with a focus on automation.
Strong communication skills, team working, customer-centric focus, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
You will work closely with customer operations teams to improve and develop their DevOps practices.
Responsibilities include creating and developing automation, managing code repositories, and configuring build and release pipelines.
You will also manage application infrastructure and help define ANS standards for DevOps processes and technologies.
Keeping track of time spent on customer backlogs and serving as a point of technical escalation for cloud engineering is required.
The role involves upskilling other teams across the business in DevOps technical skills and practices.
Requirements:
You must possess knowledge of DevOps practices, including public cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, AWS Code Deploy, GitHub Actions, and GitLab is required.
Experience with containers, specifically Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS), is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Python, and Node.JS is expected.
Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, DSC, Chef, and Puppet is important.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and ARM Templates is needed.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like AWS Cloud Trail, AWS Cloud Watch, Azure Logs, Application Insights, ELK, Grafana, and Logic Monitor is required.
Qualifications and certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified AWS DevOps Professional, and Certified Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-104, AZ-400) are desirable but not essential.
