Remote DevOps Engineer

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer at Gravity Payments will be responsible for effectively managing the cloud infrastructure on both AWS and Azure, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Key achievements include optimizing cloud operations, proactive incident management, robust security practices, seamless collaboration between development and operations, continuous improvement through new technologies and processes, resiliency and continuity planning, and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Core responsibilities include developing and executing cloud strategies, standardizing processes, troubleshooting and optimizing web services, analyzing network traffic, ensuring cloud security best practices, participating in on-call rotations, automating infrastructure management, optimizing resource utilization, implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, managing vulnerabilities, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and facilitating collaboration between teams.

Requirements:

• Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
• Proficiency in containerized environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills for server-based applications.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
• Ability to manage REST services and web applications.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and business resiliency.
• Experience in cloud-based application monitoring and security best practices.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and security audits.
• Automation skills for operational efficiency.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with serverless infrastructure and containerizing applications.
