Description:

  • Tecton is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Infrastructure Engineering DevOps team.
  • The role involves contributing to and owning the foundation for building, automating, and scaling Tecton’s feature platform.
  • Responsibilities include managing the complete lifecycle of Tecton’s cloud infrastructure development from design through automation, deployment, and operation.
  • The engineer will engage with other engineering and solutions teams to build tools that enhance engineering and deployment efficiency.
  • The position requires developing and maintaining infrastructure and tooling to monitor Tecton’s health, availability, and latency.
  • The engineer will have joint ownership of building and managing Tecton’s CI/CD system using a GitOps model.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation to address major incidents on the Tecton platform is required.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is required.
  • Fluency in one or more programming languages, such as Python or Golang, is necessary.
  • Expertise in cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and/or Microsoft Azure is essential.
  • Experience in building and troubleshooting robust and secure networks is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with microservices and container orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in observability stacks such as Prometheus, ELK, Chronosphere, or Datadog is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • In-depth experience with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting is essential.

Benefits:

  • The estimated US base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $231,000 annually for employees based in California and New York.
