Laravel is seeking the first DevOps Engineer to join their all-remote core services infrastructure team.
This position is only open to applicants in the European timezone.

The DevOps Engineer will work on Laravel Forge, Envoyer, and Vapor products, collaborating with a European-based team.
The position demands independence, as the engineer will initially be the sole person in this role, presenting opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a world-class team, researching optimal solutions, valuing the collaborative process, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in similar roles, ideally with large-scale production systems.
Experience in maintaining and operating VPS-based hosting systems is required.
Proficiency with AWS and ideally Laravel Vapor is necessary.
Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies is expected.
Experience with Grafana is required.
Candidates should be comfortable using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a team setting, enforcing checks and policies for scalability.
Knowledge of operating databases, caches, and storage is a significant advantage.
Applicants must be comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving, and all-remote environment.
