Description:
Zingtree is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join their remote team in the United States.
The role involves collaborating with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to automate and streamline processes.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for various applications.
The engineer will automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Monitoring system performance and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure is essential.
The position requires collaboration with software development teams to ensure best practices in continuous integration and delivery.
Managing cloud-based services (AWS, GCP) for optimal performance and cost-efficiency is a key duty.
Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and application-related issues in production environments is expected.
The engineer will work with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Implementing and managing monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack is part of the role.
Ensuring security best practices in all DevOps processes, including automating security checks in CI/CD pipelines, is required.
The engineer will perform system upgrades and patch management as needed.
Documenting infrastructure and deployment processes and ensuring knowledge transfer within the team is necessary.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles.
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Github Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI is required.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and associated services is essential.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is required.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack is expected.
A good understanding of networking, security, and firewall configurations is necessary.
Experience with version control systems like Git and an understanding of branching strategies is required.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting is essential.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation is required.
Candidates should possess a problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
