Description:

The position is for a DevOps Engineer at a finance company, which is a super-intelligent finance platform that transforms messy data streams into structured records.
The role involves working closely with the development team and taking ownership of infrastructure decisions from the day the platform is launched.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving AWS resources, validating VPCs and networking configurations, auditing IAM policies, and ensuring security compliance.
The engineer will also evaluate observability stacks, confirm automated security scans, gather compliance evidence, and review CI/CD pipelines.
Additional tasks include verifying data backup processes and conducting incident response drills.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for managing real workloads.
Expertise in AWS services, including compute, storage, and networking, is required.
A deep understanding of cloud networking, including VPC design, peering, VPN, and routing, is essential.
Familiarity with observability stacks such as ELK or Prometheus/Grafana is necessary.
Experience with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks is required, as candidates should have worked under these compliance standards.
Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response processes, including CVE scanning and patching, is needed.
Candidates must be available to work with a 4 to 6-hour overlap with New York time (UTC-8, UTC-3).
