Remote DevOps Engineer - Fully REMOTE

Description:

• The DevOps Engineer helps increase the speed of delivery, improve the quality and security of code, and optimize processes for the development team.
• They are responsible for identifying bottlenecks in various development and delivery processes and working with team members to improve them.
• The role involves improving the overall experience of developers and managing infrastructure-as-code deployment tooling and supporting services on multiple cloud providers.
• The DevOps Engineer works closely with Tech Leads and developers to develop automation pipelines and CI/CD.
• They develop self-serve tools and artifacts to support the software development life cycle (SDLC), such as containerized development and testing environments.
• The position requires configuring infrastructure using IaaS/PaaS products and custom-developed tools.
• The engineer actively participates in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using supported technologies and infrastructure.
• They participate in planning delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency improvement projects.
• Maintenance tasks include performing infrastructure health checks and monitoring.
• The engineer identifies bottlenecks in development and deployment processes and designs automation solutions to mitigate them.
• They maintain and grow knowledge of platform configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Collaboration with the rest of the DevOps team is essential to deliver consistent and holistic solutions to the organization.

Requirements:

• Excellent scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl are required.
• Candidates must have experience building and maintaining large-scale, cloud-based container platforms in IaaS and PaaS environments.
• A working knowledge of deployment automation solutions like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible is necessary.
• Experience with the AWS platform is required, and certification is a plus.
• Candidates should have experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as GitlabCI, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, and Sonar is essential.
• Knowledge of security automation tools, including static application security testing, is preferred.
• A strong understanding of Agile methodologies is required.
• Experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer on a cross-functional agile team is preferred.
