The role of DevOps Engineer involves managing the transition between project planning and software deployment.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing robust DevOps pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
The engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to optimize code deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning.
Forecasting project duration and cost is also a requirement.
Success in this role requires extensive experience in DevOps engineering, focusing on automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering and collaboration.
The ability to install and configure software, gather test-stage data, and perform debugging is essential.
Candidates should ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
Experience in managing highly available applications and infrastructure on Azure is required.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure spanning multiple accounts, regions, and availability zones is necessary.
Candidates should be advocates and practitioners of modern approaches to systems management and infrastructure automation tooling, such as Terraform and Ansible.
Experience in creating custom scripts in PowerShell is required.
Comfort using Git in a team setting and applying CI/CD principles to infrastructure build and deployment processes is essential.
Cloud networking and security experience is necessary.
Knowledge of Docker and container-based technologies and CI/CD tools is required.
A drive to improve processes and practices within the team and utilize the latest technologies is expected.
Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics is necessary.
Proficiency in written and spoken communication in English is required.
A Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a similar field is mandatory.
