Remote DevOps Engineer II

Description:

• Limble is seeking a DevOps Engineer to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams in a remote setting.
• The role involves building scalable and reliable infrastructure while supporting existing systems.
• Responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services like EC2, VPC, Autoscaling, and Security Groups.
• The engineer will develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitHub actions to automate processes.
• Monitoring system performance and application uptime with observability tools like DataDog is essential.
• The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment.
• The engineer will implement Kubernetes for container orchestration and management to improve infrastructure reliability and security.
• Writing scripts in Python and Bash to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency is part of the role.
• Participation in incident response and on-call support is required to ensure system availability.
• Staying updated on DevOps practices and cloud technologies is crucial for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of experience with Terraform.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, Autoscaling, Security Groups, AWS CLI, and CloudWatch, is required.
• Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience working on Linux servers.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Ansible is necessary.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting is required.
• Experience with Kubernetes and observability platforms like DataDog is essential.
• Candidates must possess excellent decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation is required.
• Candidates should be highly motivated and security-minded.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $165,000, with new hires typically starting between the minimum and midpoint based on experience.
