The role of DevOps Engineer II involves building infrastructure to support Jump's initial product offering.
Responsibilities include automating application and cloud infrastructure configuration, building and updating CI/CD pipelines, and improving monitoring and alerting systems.
The engineer will support product engineering teams and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling like Terraform or CloudFormation.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Javascript, or Ruby is required.
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitLab, CircleCI, or Github is necessary.
Familiarity with Linux configuration and administration, as well as experience with AWS, is essential.
Candidates should have production experience with containerization runtimes and orchestration systems, such as Docker, Fargate, or ECS.
Experience with AWS Lambda, non-relational databases like DynamoDB, and traditional RDBMS like RDS Aurora/Postgres is required.
Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Grafana, and Prometheus is necessary.
Experience with distributed tracing tools like Datadog Tracing or Open Telemetry is required.
Familiarity with Git-based version systems like Github or GitLab is essential.
Nice to have: experience with mobile app build pipelines, GraphQL applications, GitLab’s CI runners, alerting platforms, and compliance policies.
