Description:
Tala is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and applications on AWS public cloud environments.
The role requires a DevOps mindset to bring cloud-native infrastructure and automation expertise for deployment, monitoring, and remediation.
Responsibilities include driving automation of infrastructure and platform services in public clouds (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Terraform and Ansible.
The engineer will architect new solutions for infrastructure and platform, and design and manage continuous deployment using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
Monitoring applications and services within the environments is essential, along with being part of the on-call rotation to resolve issues and implement preventive strategies.
The role involves setting up intelligent application performance alerts in observability tools to proactively address issues before they impact business services and end-users.
Continuous learning about technologies outside of one's expertise is encouraged.
Requirements:
A strong understanding of how cloud-based web applications work, with an interest in measuring, analyzing, and improving distributed systems is required.
A B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of professional development training and experience is necessary.
Candidates should have 3-4 years of experience deploying and automating infrastructure in public cloud environments, utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
In-depth hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform is essential.
Prior experience as a technical lead working closely with Product, Engineering, and SecOps on shift-left strategies and CI/CD tools is required.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is necessary.
Familiarity with Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is required.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools for SaaS, such as Sumo, Splunk, or Datadog, is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly.
Flexibility to assist across programs and teams is necessary.
Strong influence and teamwork skills, along with sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making skills, are required.
Experience working effectively with global teams across multiple time zones is essential.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $160,000 per year.
