Description:

LivePerson is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer II to join the Observability Platform team in Poland.
The role involves leading the planning, execution, and management of observability infrastructure that processes trillions of observability events daily.
Responsibilities include creating and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using technologies such as GrafanaLab, CaptainHook, Zabbix, Fluentd, ELK, Kafka, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
The engineer will design and develop a highly scalable software observability platform and maintain Kubernetes Helm charts for deploying hundreds of pods daily.
Collaboration with DevOps teams to deliver cloud solutions aligned with the observability platform is essential.
The position requires ensuring high availability and performance of observability platforms and tools, as well as designing end-to-end Synthetic Tests Monitoring solutions on GCP.
Participation in on-call rotations is also expected.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in an equivalent role, demonstrating a passion for technology and a strong sense of responsibility for high reliability and service levels.
Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization technologies, such as Docker, is necessary.
Extensive experience with observability tools like GrafanaLab, CaptainHook, Zabbix, Fluentd, ELK, Kafka, and Prometheus is required.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation is essential.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and their services related to computing, storage, and networking is preferred.
Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Bash, Python, or Go, are required.
Experience with OpenTelemetry Collector and Grafana Agent is considered ideal.
