Description:
The DevOps Engineer III position is part of Security Risk Advisors’ Software Development Team.
The role involves collaboration with SRA’s Advisory Services, CyberSOC, and Research & Innovation teams to enhance the information security consulting practice.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing DevOps infrastructure tools and strategies for SaaS products.
The position requires regular deployment maintenance, ensuring swift resolution of potential issues, and making recommendations for improvements.
The engineer will ensure the security of developed software and system infrastructure by implementing security best practices and responding to reported vulnerabilities.
The role includes assisting the Software Development team with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tooling like Bitbucket Pipelines.
Documentation responsibilities involve creating, maintaining, and updating systems documentation and design specifications.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional operations or DevOps experience with cloud or virtualized installations of custom software.
A deep understanding of Docker and other containerization technologies and orchestration is required.
Demonstrated experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, particularly their Kubernetes offerings, is essential.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment/delivery methodologies and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, and ArgoCD is necessary.
Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Go, or Bash and a strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm is required.
A deep understanding of standard security protocols, vulnerability management, encryption, and secure coding practices is essential.
Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack is required.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services, along with network security strategies.
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and address issues within the Kubernetes environment and broader CI/CD pipeline are necessary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with different teams and an understanding of Agile development practices are required.
Proficiency in Kubernetes is preferred, including the ability to deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
Candidates must be willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when necessary.
The ability to work independently and articulate project progress to management is required.
Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs are essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
