Description:
The DevOps Engineer III is responsible for managing and securing cloud infrastructure, enhancing security in CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the resilience, performance, and security of cloud-based applications.
This role involves close collaboration with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes and enforce cloud security best practices.
Key responsibilities include creating, configuring, and maintaining secure AWS infrastructure resources using AWS CDK, monitoring and optimizing AWS resources for cost efficiency and performance, and implementing security controls.
The position also requires configuring and managing Cloudflare services, designing and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and administering Git repositories on GitHub.
Additional duties include deploying and managing containerized applications on Amazon EKS, developing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The role requires designing and maintaining network architectures within AWS, setting up monitoring and logging solutions, and collaborating with development teams to enhance security posture and operational resilience.
The job is fully remote, and candidates must be able to adapt to change quickly to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of previous experience in a DevOps Engineer role and 2+ years of experience with security-focused projects from a DevOps perspective.
Proficiency in creating, configuring, and maintaining AWS infrastructure resources using AWS CDK is essential.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Cloudflare security services and the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Experience in container and network security, as well as automation skills for building, testing, and deploying processes, is required.
Candidates must have experience in administering and maintaining Git repositories on GitHub and deploying and managing containerized applications on Amazon EKS.
Strong networking skills with extensive experience in VPC configurations and network optimization within a cloud environment are necessary.
Collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and a consistent, reliable high-speed internet access are required.
