The AI startup Xayn develops Noxtua, Europe’s first sovereign Legal AI that assists lawyers in analyzing and drafting legal documents while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Noxtua is hosted in the EU and adheres to high confidentiality standards in handling client data and professional secrecy.
The position is for a DevOps Engineer who will manage and optimize Xayn’s cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
The role involves collaborating with development and AI teams to automate deployments, enhance monitoring, and implement infrastructure as code best practices.
The tech team consists of around 10 individuals working remotely or in the Berlin office, supported by a technical lead and external consultants.
The hiring manager, Simon, has over 15 years of experience in software development and advocates for product-driven development.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a valid work permit for the EU.
Fluency in English is required.
Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems and Bash scripting is essential.
Experience in setting up and configuring networks, including DNS and OSI models, is necessary.
A proven track record in designing, developing, testing, and operating cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OTC) is required.
Candidates should have the ability to set up and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, AWS Cloud Insights) and derive actionable insights from data.
A strong focus on automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation is needed.
Expertise in containerizing applications with Docker and managing orchestration using Docker Compose is required.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript is necessary.

The position offers flexible working hours, with full-time options ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week.
