Description:
Join Polarity as a DevOps Engineer and become an integral part of a tight-knit, dynamic team tackling exciting challenges head-on.
Play a pivotal role in managing automated deployment pipelines and optimizing AWS infrastructure, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
Collaborate closely with fellow engineers to troubleshoot issues and maintain the highest levels of security and compliance.
Work on a wide variety of projects and technologies, collaborating with a team of innovative and seasoned software developers.
Think creatively to solve complex problems and push the boundaries of what is possible with technology.
In the first month, shadow a senior team member to understand daily tasks and responsibilities, familiarize yourself with company policies, procedures, and culture, learn about the organizational structure, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, services, and target market.
At 3 months, begin automating mundane, repetitive workflows, develop a foundational understanding of product functionality and deployment procedures, gain an understanding of the product CI/CD pipelines, and assume responsibility for the DevOps linear project and associated tickets.
At 6 months, stand-up and maintain customer-facing systems that are secure, scalable, and reliable, and collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with industry best practices and relevant security standards.
At 12 months, take immense pride in accomplishments, celebrate successes, and continue to nurture a thirst for learning.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is required.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or equivalent is necessary.
Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking is essential.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and associated services, specifically App Runner, CloudFormation, CloudFront, EC2, IAM, RDS, Route 53, S3, Systems Manager, and VPC is required.
Proficiency in SQL and troubleshooting relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, is necessary.
Comfort in jumping on customer calls and troubleshooting technical deployment issues is expected.
Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or equivalent are required.
A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.
