Description:
Nurdsoft is seeking a DevOps engineer with technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations.
The role involves working on cutting-edge cloud technologies and delivering secure cloud solutions to enterprise customers.
This is a client-facing position that requires working remotely and being a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
The engineer will work on dynamic projects where their impact measures their success.
Responsibilities include implementing DevOps infrastructure projects using VMs, containers, and other cloud-native technologies.
The engineer will build and deploy automation, monitoring, reporting, and analysis solutions.
They will implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
The role involves designing and implementing secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
Continuous evaluation, refactoring, and iteration of existing systems while complying with industry standards is expected, along with making recommendations for improvement to increase the quality and velocity of deployments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in developing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
Experience with Configuration Management Systems like Puppet, Ansible, and Chef is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM, and AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS is essential.
Candidates must have experience with at least one interpreted language, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience managing and operating relational data stores like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL is required.
Proficiency with SCM systems such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, and Bitbucket is necessary.
Candidates should possess skills in AWS EC2, SSM, AppStream, and WorkSpaces, as well as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with HashiCorp Terraform and Packer, along with BASH, PowerShell, and Python, is required.
Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems is necessary.
A Bachelor or Master in Engineering or an IT-related field is required.
