Remote DevOps Engineer (Weekend & On-Call Support)

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on providing on-call support during weekends and scaling our system infrastructure.
• This position requires expertise in cloud platforms, monitoring, and automation, as well as availability during the weekend to address coverage gaps.
• The role involves setting up and maintaining DevOps automations, deploying infrastructure, and monitoring the system to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining DevOps processes and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), setting up and deploying infrastructure using Kubernetes and ArgoCD on Google Cloud Platform, and automating operational tasks and workflows to improve system efficiency and scalability.
• The engineer will provide on-call monitoring support on weekends, ensuring prompt issue resolution and minimal downtime, utilizing Betterstack, Grafana, and other monitoring tools to track system performance and alerts.
• The role also involves ensuring that infrastructure is scalable and optimized for performance, using technologies like Kafka and ClickHouse to manage data flow and storage efficiently.
• Collaboration with the team is essential to address system improvements and troubleshoot complex problems.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have Google Cloud Platform experience with proven deployments.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and ArgoCD for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation is required.
• Strong DevOps experience with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) is necessary.
• Proficiency with Betterstack and Grafana for monitoring and alerting is essential.
• Experience with Kafka for data streaming and ClickHouse for database management is required.
• On-call availability on weekends (UTC 7 PM - 3 AM) for incident response and system monitoring is mandatory.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in Haskell Blockchain Development, knowledge of Cardano Node and blockchain technologies, and 2+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles.
