Description:

• Azul is a company focused 100% on Java, building the Java platform for the modern cloud enterprise.
• The company is looking for an experienced engineer to join their distributed Platform team.
• The mission of the team is to introduce best practices from the Cloud, DevOps, and SRE fields to all Azul products.
• The Platform team is responsible for product building and distribution pipelines, shipping more than 1000 binaries to customers worldwide with each release.
• The team also maintains SaaS products using an "everything as a code" approach.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing PoCs, providing technical guidance, leading cross-team implementation projects, producing system requirements and design deliverables, supporting engineering teams, providing cloud expertise, automating processes, and coaching team members.

Requirements:

• Candidates should enjoy delivering at scale as a team rather than as individual contributors.
• A strong sense of ownership is essential for this role.
• Active listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other engineers and teams are required.
• Candidates should be data-driven, continuously verifying decisions with data points to ensure company-wide impact.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an architect or lead is required.
