Description:

• Azul is seeking an experienced engineer to join their distributed Platform team focused on Java for modern cloud enterprises.
• The role involves introducing best practices from Cloud, DevOps, and SRE fields to all Azul products.
• The Platform team is responsible for product building and distribution pipelines, shipping over 1000 binaries to customers worldwide with each release.
• The team also manages SaaS products using an "everything as a code" approach.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing PoCs, leading cross-team implementation projects, and producing system requirements and design deliverables.
• The role supports engineering teams, promotes best practices, provides cloud expertise, and maintains company cloud environments.
• Additional tasks include automating and optimizing engineering processes and coaching team members.

Requirements:

• Candidates should enjoy delivering at scale as part of a team rather than as individual contributors.
• A strong sense of ownership is essential for this position.
• Active listening skills and the ability to engage with other engineers and teams are required.
• Candidates should be data-driven, consistently verifying decisions with data points to ensure company-wide impact.
