Description:
Ripjar specializes in developing software and data products to help combat serious financial crime, including money laundering and terrorist financing.
The core infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports the company's data analytics and intelligence solutions in a hybrid public/private cloud environment.
The DevOps Team Lead will manage the core-infrastructure team, ensuring efficient provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the cloud environment.
This role requires a strategic mindset to design and implement infrastructure improvements while managing performance, capacity, and cost.
The position involves collaboration with Product, Delivery, Engineering, and Security teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include team leadership, operations management, capacity and cost management, and compliance and audits.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years in operations management, particularly within a platform/core infrastructure team or equivalent.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Proficiency in managing hybrid cloud environments (public and private) and familiarity with relevant technologies and platforms, particularly AWS.
Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning, systems administration, and monitoring tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Datadog.
Experience in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions, ideally with exposure to parallel processing environments for large-scale analytics.
An understanding of security best practices in areas such as network security, threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, IAM, SIEM, and incident response.
Skills in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting infrastructure and micro-service-based architectures.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2, and experience in managing audits and compliance activities.
Familiarity with incident response processes and tools to ensure timely resolution of issues.
